Sunfest Adds Heat to the Brier Buzz

Tuesday, 13 July 2010 - Posted by Canadian Curling Association

The 2011 Tim Hortons Brier generated an undeniable presence at Sunfest in Victoria Park this past weekend. The festival attracted thousands of people of all ages and cultures for a four day event, full of fabulous food, music, and crafts.

Sunfest has occurred annually since 1995 and continues to grow each year. This year there were over 225 food and craft vendors around the park, as well as four different stages highlighting music from around the world.

The Tim Hortons Brier partnered with 102.3 Bob FM to spread the word about the Brier. The volunteers encouraged people to fill out ballots for a chance to win tickets through the grand prize draw, handed out promotional material, and applied temporary tattoos to all passersby.

Volunteers were successful in getting Brier information into all attendees’ hands and Londoners are getting very excited for the upcoming Brier.
