Cockburn & Curling Add up to Tall Fun at London Folkfest

Volunteers were in place throughout the weekend of July 16 – 18 at London’s Victoria Park to share the message of the 2011 Tim Hortons Brier to tens of thousands at the Home County Folk Festival. For 37 years, traditional and contemporary Canadian folk music enthusiasts have enjoyed the sounds, sights and sensations of the annual festival. Five stages throughout the downtown park provide the forum for musicians from across the country to showcase their work over the course of the three day festival. This year’s headline performer was Canadian folk music icon Bruce Cockburn, who mesmerized an enormous crowd gathered before the main stage on a starry Saturday night. His songs of protest, politics and spiritual search continue to resonate forty years and nearly thirty albums since he first appeared on our nation’s music scene. Cockburn and curling; two great Canadian institutions! Watch for our Tim Hortons Brier promotions team at more upcoming London and area events and attractions. Ask them how you can win 2011 Tim Hortons Brier tickets!
