Brier Volunteers take it to the Streets in Downtown St. Thomas

Tuesday, 31 August 2010 - Posted by Canadian Curling Association

The dog days of summer have been hounding the good people of Southwestern Ontario for the past few weeks. It was no surprise that visitors to downtown St. Thomas Iron Horse Festival four day extravaganza were looking to find cool comfort in talking curling with the 2011 Tim Hortons Brier volunteers.

The festival, which featured an Iron Chef competition, artisan’s village, midway rides, street performers and a motorcycle show and shine, annually celebrates the city’s colorful railway heritage in the heart of the business core.

The 2011 Tim Hortons Brier community events team, in conjunction with 102.3 BOB FM, mixed and mingled with the multitude of people who descended on the community from all parts of Elgin and Middlesex counties.
