The First Taste from the Cup is Free!

The World Financial Group Continental Cup takes to the ice this Thursday through Sunday, showcasing the best curlers in the world at Servus Credit Union Place. But, the excitement starts Wednesday night and admission is free to the fans. The competitors – including many of the athletes from the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver – will be introduced at 8:30 pm Wednesday during the opening ceremony in the Performance Arena. When the official introductions are done, head right next door to the Troy Murray Arena for the launch of the Continental Cup party in Keith’s Patch, starting at 9:00 pm. Opening night at the Patch features the sounds of the Classics, a band Albertans have been rocking to since the early sixties. Dance the night away to their legendary mix of rhythm & blues and rock & roll. While you’re there, try a few shots on the Cool Curling table – and then come back during the event for the “Match in the Patch” – the Cool Curling competition with $1,000 in prize money on the line. Great seats are still available for the World Financial Group Continental Cup – and every one includes complimentary admission to Keith’s Patch. Single draw tickets are priced at just $30 for Thursday and Friday and $35 for Saturday and Sunday. Tickets can purchased online, by calling Ticketmaster at 780-451-8000 or in person at the Ticketmaster box office at Servus Credit Union Place.
