The Canada Cup Floats into Cranbrook

When the Sam Steele Day parade hits the streets of Cranbrook June 18 the Canada Cup float will feature three of the most successful curlers on the country’s competitive circuit.

Team Kleibrink at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts

Shannon Kleibrink will be joined by team members Bronwen Webster and Chesley Bell to promote the upcoming 2011 Canada Cup.

They will take part in the Saturday parade between 10:00 a.m. and noon followed by an autograph session from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Canada Cup booth in the Sam Steele Central Fair Grounds.

Kleibrink is a two-time Canada Cup champion and winner of the 2006 Olympic bronze medal.

The team will be shooting for a third Canada Cup title November 30 – December 4 in the Cranbrook Rec Plex.
