The Team is in Place to Host the Best Scotties Ever!

The 2012 Scotties Tournament of Hearts Host Committee is finally complete… and hard at work preparing for the big event February 18 – 26 in the Enmax Centrium. The Promotions team has been appearing at community events in and around Red Deer generating awareness for the Scotties, including the recent Red Deer Curling Centre’s Golf Tournament at Alberta Spring Golf Course. Taking part as a hole sponsor, the volunteers had the opportunity to meet all players and distribute promotional items. The team was also on hand for Tourism Red Deer’s “Hats off to Summer” gathering where local attractions showcased the wide array of upcoming events in the region. Based on the reception volunteers received at both events, the excitement is building for the return of the Scotties Tournament of Hearts. In coming weeks the promotional initiatives include bi-monthly appearances at the Sylvan Lake and Red Deer Farmers Markets and a range of golf tournament over the summer months.
