Nedohin Looking to Build on Last Year’s Momentum

Heather Nedohin – Heather Godberson at that time – made her presence known on the competitive scene in 1996, skipping her young team to the top of the podium in both the Canadian and World junior curling championships. Playing third for Cathy King in 1998, she helped the Albertans win the Scotties Tournament of Hearts and the bronze medal at the Ford World Women’s Curling Championship in Kamloops, B.C. Nedohin has represented Alberta four times in the Scotties, debuting at the skip position in 2000.  In the 2010-11 season, her team lost to Shannon Kleibrink in the championship final of the Alberta Scotties playdowns.  They also had a strong showing on the World Curling Tour, reaching the semi-finals in three Grand Slam events. Last year’s success earned Nedohin the Canadian Team Ranking System points required to qualify for the 2011 Canada Cup, where she’ll be joined by teammates Beth Iskiw, Jessica Mair and Laine Peters at the Cranbrook Rec Plex.
