The Stage is Set for a Saskatchewan Replay

The 2011 Saskatchewan Scotties Tournament of Hearts final came down to a matchup between Amber Holland and Stefanie Lawton… of course, it was Holland who moved on to the national women’s championship in Charlottetown.

The two will renew their rivalry in the first Season of Champions event of the year – the 2011 Capital One Canada Cup November 30 – December 4 in the Cranbrook Rec Plex.

It promises to be a classic rematch featuring two major champions from last season. Holland downed Jennifer Jones to capture her first Scotties title while Lawton took home the 2010 Canada Cup with a win over Cheryl Bernard. Last year’s success earned the two Saskatchewan teams the trip to Cranbrook.

Holland hits the ice with Kim Schneider, Tammy Schneider and Heather Kalenchuk playing together for the sixth consecutive year.  They’ll be shooting for their first Canada Cup title as well as the first qualifying berth in the 2013 Tim Hortons Roar of the Rings – to determine Canada’s representatives for the 2014 Winter Olympic Games.
