Welcome to the Swedish Revolution

In modern curling history, Peja Lindholm stands out as the number one name in the Swedish game.  But Niklas Edin has been doing all the right things to take over that status. Edin leads one of the hottest young teams on the international curling scene and their success in the 2010-2011 season suggests the best is yet to come. The Swedes made it to the bronze medal podium at the 2011 Ford World Men’s Curling Championship with a tight 7-6 victory over Norway’s Thomas Ulsrud. They were also part of the Team World roster at the 2011 World Financial Group Continental Cup of Curling and will return for the 2012 edition in Langley, January 12 – 15.  The Swedish crew includes Sebastian Kraupp, Fredrik Lindberg and Viktor Kjäll.  Lindholm will also be there in the role of team coach. After winning the 2004 World Junior Curling Championships and silver-medal performances in 2006 and 2007, Edin moved up the ranks to take gold in 2009 at the European Championships and the World University Games and represented his country in the 2010 Winter Olympics – losing to Switzerland in the bronze-medal game. “You Gotta Be There” in the Langley Events Centre for all the excitement of this one-of-a-kind event!  Click here to get your tickets now.
