Gold has to be Anette Norberg’s favourite colour… at least when she steps onto the ice in the heat of international curling competition!

The Swedish skip has compiled a remarkable record of achievements over the course of a competitive career that extends back to the 1980s.  The next major event in her sights is the 2012 World Financial Group Continental Cup of Curling, January 12 – 15 in the Langley Events Centre. Heading a lengthy list of honours are gold medal performances at the 2006 Olympic Games in Turin and again in Vancouver in 2010, where she made history as the first skip to successfully defend the Olympic title. She is a veteran of 15 European Curling Championships – picking up seven gold medals – and 11 world championships with three top finishes including last season’s Capital One World Women’s Curling Championship in Esbjerg, Denmark. Norberg will be looking for another precious medal as she suits up with Cissi Ostlund
, Sara Carlsson and
Lotta Lennartsson to join Team World in the battle against Team North America for the World Financial Group Continental Cup of Curling. “You Gotta Be There” to see the greatest curlers in the world in the eighth edition of this international classic.
