Capital One Rocks & Rings: Not just your school game!

Over the past few years, the Capital One Rocks & Rings program has been going into schools across Canada, teaching thousands of kids about the great Olympic Sport curling. What you might not realize is that this isn’t the only place you’ll find us!

Capital One Rocks & Rings Program played outside!

The Rocks & Rings program has brought a fun addition to many Girl Guide and Scout group meetings. We are able to take the program to their meetings where kids get to experience curling first hand.

You can also find the Rocks & Rings equipment popping up all over the place. This past summer “the rocks” were spotted at the Harbourfront Centre in Toronto. We helped celebrate Canada Day by teaching hundreds of participants about curling.

You can also catch the Rocks & Rings set at curling club festivals, open houses or fun learn to curl days. Recently, our Kurling equipment was at the Oakville Curling Club
for Sports Day in Canada. Some of the younger participants, who were unable to get on the ice, had a great time learning about the sport behind the glass.

Capital One Rocks & Rings Program: Sports Day 2011

This summer during their town festival, the King curling club used a set of Kurling Rocks to advertise for their little rock and junior programs.  Curling, in the summer?  I knew we could surprise you!

Many of you I am sure spotted Kevin Martin on Off The Record, having a shoot out with Michael Landsberg, with our equipment. We were also at set up at the Toronto Convention
Centre this summer where over 800 business executives took their turn with “the rocks”.

So you see the Capital One Rocks & Rings program is more than a school program.  Our Kurling equipment can be found just about anywhere.  Fairs, conferences and meetings- hey, “the rocks” have even made an appearance at a wedding!

Keep your eyes out for “the rocks”.  You never know when we’ll be in your neck of the woods.
