Scotties Curling Crew Comes Out to Help Santa

The Scotties volunteers were in the festive spirit Saturday, November 17 for the annual Kingston Santa Claus Parade handing out Christmas goodies and ticket information for the 2013 Scotties Tournament of Hearts. With the holiday season just around the corner, the volunteers had some gift ideas for early bird shoppers – including event Mini Packs and single draw tickets that go on sale November 24 for the first 14 draws of the Scotties priced from just $20. “We’ll be promoting all our ticket offers at a number of events throughout the city in coming weeks now that everyone’s getting serious about their holiday shopping,” noted Host Chair Ken Thompson. The volunteers will be attending the annual general meeting of the Downtown Business Association November 21 to talk about the corporate sales package and then they’re setting up shop outside the TD Bank on Princess Street on November 23 for the “Black Friday” retail promotion. On November 28 the Scotties booth will be on the scene at the K-Rock Centre for the seminar presented by Cesar Millan, star of the Dog Whisperer TV series. “You Gotta Be There” for the 2013 Scotties Tournament of Hearts, February 16-24 in Kingston’s K-Rock Centre featuring the biggest names in the women’s game.  Reserve your seats today by clicking here.
