New role for Oona Lehmann in Saint John

Imogen Oona Lehmann will be skipping for the first time at a major international event when she leads Team Germany at the 2014 Ford World Women’s Curling Championship, presented by Booster Juice, March 15-23, at Harbour Station in Saint John. The 24-year-old, born and raised in Basel, Switzerland, played third on the country’s 2010 national junior team. At the end of that season, she moved to Germany and signed on with two-time world champion Andrea Schöpp to take the place of longtime third, Monika Wagner. Oona Lehman gained invaluable experience as Schöpp’s new vice-skip, competing in three consecutive world and European championships. She will be accompanied in Saint John by teammates Stella Heiss, Corinna Scholz and Nicole Muskatewitz. “You Gotta Be There” for the 2014 Ford World Women’s Curling Championship.
