“Paint the Town” in Tim Hortons Brier colours!
- Updated: January 29, 2014
The 2014 Tim Hortons Brier is heading to Kamloops and the Host Committee is really getting down to business in preparation for one of the premiere events in the world of competitive curling.
The Canadian Men’s Curling Championship will take place March 1-9 in the Interior Savings Centre, showcasing the top 12 teams in the country as they compete for the legendary Tim Hortons Brier Tankard.
“This is undoubtedly the most heralded championship in the sport and we’re excited to bring all the excitement to Kamloops,” said Host Chair Norm Daley. “Our Paint the Town committee, responsible for all the promotional initiatives relating to the event, has been working hard to get the business community involved in welcoming fans from across the country to our beautiful city.”
The Host Committee is encouraging businesses to get involved through a storefront window display contest. Plastic banner wraps, posters, brochures and tent cards are available from the event office to assist in display designs.
Judging will take place Feb. 24 to choose the top three entrants. The winner will be awarded a pair of seats to the five opening weekend draws, the runner-up will receive four tickets to the first draw and third place takes four tickets to the second draw.
Businesses can also take advantage of promotional opportunities by including a discount coupon as part of the display. Coupons will be made available to visitors for the Tim Hortons Brier at information booths located in the Interior Savings Centre and the Coast Hotel & Conference Centre.
