Fan Zone: Activities and Entertainment
Every Season of Champions event comes with its own unique party. For the 2014 Canada Cup, you’ll find fun for fans of all ages in the Patch, situated at the Camrose Community Centre – just a short walk from the Encana Arena.
By day, the Patch takes on a family-oriented atmosphere with floor curling and other activities designed just for the kids during the lunch and dinner hours.
When the lights go down, the party will rock late into the night during all five days of competition. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a bite and a beverage, and dance to the sounds of a talented lineup of live entertainment.
You’ll also have the opportunity to meet with the athletes at Up Close and Personal interviews and Team Autograph sessions. Plus, you can shoot for cash prizes in the Cool Shots competition and test your skills at other interactive games.
Admission to the Patch is complimentary with every same-day event pass.
The top 14 teams in Canadian curling – seven men’s and seven women’s – will be meeting with fans at daily autograph sessions. Get your autographs, and pose for photos with the hottest shooters in the game.
Up Close and Personal
The competitors will sit down for a relaxing conversation with the fans at the Up Close and Personal interviews. It’s a unique opportunity for a personal insight to the athletes when they’re out of the heat of competition.
Shoot for cash in the Cool Shots competition. Fans can sign up for free to play the popular tabletop version of the roaring game. Along with the daily prize, winners will advance to the championship playdowns.
