At just 23 years of age, Scotland’s Eve Muirhead has made her presence known throughout the curling world as one of the most talented shooters in the women’s game.

Coming off a highly successful 2012-13 competitive season – where she led teammates Anna Sloan, Vicki Adams and Claire Hamilton to the gold medal at the 2013 World Women’s Curling Championship – Muirhead will be a key component of Team World at the 2014 World Financial Group Continental Cup, Jan. 16-19 at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nev.

The event comes just a month ahead of the Scottish team’s trip to Sochi, Russia. Muirhead will represent Great Britain for a second time at the Winter Olympic Games in February.

A four-time World Junior Women’s Curling Champion (it may have been five if she hadn’t taken 2010 off to compete in the Olympics) Muirhead will be one of six teams that face Team North America in the 10th edition of the World Financial Group Continental Cup.

Along with her exceptional skills on the ice, Muirhead is also a world championship bagpiper and accomplished golfer. In fact, she turned down golf scholarships from several American universities to pursue her curling dreams.
