Murdoch hits Vegas on road to Sochi

The Scot’s skills on the pebbled-ice surface will be on display for Las Vegas crowds as part of Team World at the 2014 World Financial Group Continental Cup, Jan. 16-19 in the Orleans Arena.

In six appearances at the world men’s curling championship, the 35-year-old skip from Aberdeen has returned home with a medal every time. The impressive collection includes three pairs of gold, silver and bronze medals.

The most recent bronze came with the support of his current team – Tom Brewster, Scott Andrews and Michael Goodfellow – at the 2013 Ford World Men’s Curling Championship in Victoria, B.C.

The team will be travel to Sochi, Russia in February where they will represent Great Britain at the 2014 Olympic Games – Murdoch’s third consecutive trip to the Olympics.

Third Brewster also has considerable experience on the world stage, skipping Team Scotland to silver medals twice at the world men’s championship.
