Curling Canada – 2014 Canadian Senior Curling Championships

Volunteers are the backbone of events – and the North is known for its generosity and ability to band together in times of need. It is the value of volunteers that enables organizations to offer activities that may not otherwise happen. Their meaningful contributions (whether visible or behind the scenes) are indispensable and their tireless efforts are often as profound as the event itself.

The Canadian Senior Curling Championship brings together the best in curling from competitors, to spectators, to volunteers – becoming a community with one goal in mind – a great curling event. Volunteers invest their time, ensuring that this year’s competition is not only successful, but memorable for all parties – from organization to participant level, attendees and everyone in between.

The 2014 Seniors in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories will require approximately 150 volunteers to fill a wide range of positions in the months leading up to the event, as well as during the week of the championship. Duties range from roles in transportation, security and hospitality to scorekeepers and program sales.

We are calling on Northerners, and our friendly southern neighbours, to help us show the rest of Canada what we are made of!
