Regina to host 2014 CIS/CCA University Curling Championships

Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) and the Canadian Curling Association (CCA) have announced that Regina, SK will host the 2014 CIS/CCA University Curling Championships.
The 2014 edition will take place March 19-23 at Regina’s Callie Curling Club, March 19-23, with the University of Regina as host.
“CIS is delighted with the selection of hosts for the 2014 Curling Championships,” said Marg McGregor, Chief Executive Officer for Canadian Interuniversity Sport. “It is great to see the events will take place in provinces that are fanatical about curling, and universities who have a demonstrated track record of hosting excellent CIS Championships.”
“Let’s get ready to ROCK! The University of Regina is privileged to stage the 2014 CIS/CCA Curling Championships at the Callie Curling Club,” said host chair John Papandreos.
“The University and City of Regina have a reputable tradition of hosting major sporting events and are looking forward to showing off its hospitality in welcoming the best university curling teams from across Canada.”
The winning men’s and women’s teams will then represent Canada at the 2015 FISU (International University Sports Federation) Winter Universiade in Granada, Spain.
