Ford World Women’s a big hit for Canada Day party
- Updated: July 9, 2013
Canada Day festivities along the boardwalk of Market Square in Saint John, N.B., came with a reminder of the upcoming winter, courtesy of the promotions team for the 2014 Ford World Women’s Curling Championship, presented by Booster Juice.
The country’s birthday bash typically symbolizes the start of the summer season, but volunteers were there all day to make sure everyone knows one of the biggest events in competitive curling will be hitting the ice in Harbour Station, March 15-23, when the top shooters in the game converge in Saint John to compete for the world title.
The sunshine brought out the crowds and many of them found their way to the Ford World Women’s Curling Championship booth to discover the fun of the Rock Pong game that proved to be one of the boardwalk’s most popular attractions.
Event tattoos were applied to all the kids who took part in the game. Before the day was done, the logo was on display throughout the celebrations at Market Square. Visitors to the booth also had the chance to enter the draw for an opening weekend pass to the 2014 Ford World Women’s Curling Championship.
Media partner, 97.3 the Wave, stopped by the Ford World Women’s booth for on-air updates during the day.
Thanks to everyone involved in setting up the booth, greeting visitors and providing information on ticket offers and volunteer opportunities.
