It’s beginning to look a lot like curling

Volunteers for the 2014 Ford World Women’s Curling Championship, presented by Booster Juice, made an early appearance at Harbour Station, Nov. 15-17 – the venue that will see the best teams in the game compete for the world title next March.

Rhoda’s Christmas Festival, featuring a wide selection of arts, crafts, antiques and food, is an annual tradition in Saint John. And the Ford World Women’s volunteer team had the ideal spot, at the front doors of the arena, to welcome the large crowd of early holiday shoppers. It proved to be the perfect place to let everyone know that one of international curling’s most prestigious championships is less than four months away.

With throngs of shoppers looking for the perfect gift for those hard-to-buy-for folks on their holiday lists, volunteers were out to spread the word on all the event ticket packages – as well as the special Rocks In Your Socks promotion – with the opportunity to purchase a pair of single-draw round robin tickets, starting at just $29.

The special holiday offer ends Dec. 24 so there’s still take to get down to the box office or purchase your tickets online.

Visitors to the festival also had the chance to enter to win a Full Flex ticket package, priced at $339. The Full Flex voucher includes 22 tickets to see the best women’s teams in the world on the ice in Saint John, March 15-23. The draw winner will be announced prior to Christmas.

Volunteers will be right back in the holiday spirit for the Saint John City Market, Dec. 7. Located in the heart of downtown Saint John, the market faces King’s Square, with an abundance of indoor and outdoor parking spots situated nearby.
