Swedes hope to turn silver into gold

Margaretha Sigfridsson, fresh off winning the silver medal at the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia, will be coming to Saint John to represent Sweden for a sixth time at the world women’s curling championship, March 15-23 at Harbour Station. In five previous trips to the worlds, Sigfridsson has won four silvers, and after taking second spot on the podium in Sochi, you can be sure the Swedish team will be focused on gold for the 2014 Ford World Women’s Curling Championship, presented by Booster Juice. The skip, who delivers lead rocks, also earned a silver medal at the 1997 world juniors.
