Tickets on Sale Now for Canadian Mixed in Morris, Manitoba

Tickets for the Canadian Mixed Curling Championship, which will be hosted by the Morris Curling Club in November, are now on sale. The Early-Bird Summer price for a full event pass is $65. This includes all 17 round-robin draws, all tiebreaker and playoff games, and all public entertainment events. Tickets can be purchased in-person at the Morris Super Variety OR Access Credit Union – Morris Branch. An on-line ticket purchase opportunity is also available at the Canadian Mixed Curling Championship local website – www.morriscurlingclub.org/canadianmixed. The $65 Early-Bird Summer price is in effect until August 31, 2010 and provides a significant saving. After September 1, the full event price of $75 will go into effect. The Early-Bird Summer price represents an excellent opportunity for local fans and team supporters to purchase tickets for friends and family with a significant saving. It will also be used by local businesses as an opportunity to purchase tickets for promotional purposes at the same time as they provide direct support for the event.

2011 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship Executive Committee

Hosting the Canadian Mixed Curling Championship continues a recent tradition of offering elite curling entertainment in the Morris Curling Club. This includes the Scotties Tournament of Hearts won by Jennifer Jones; the 2009 Manitoba Curling Tour Championships won by Mike McEwen & Chelsea Carey; the 1st DEKALB SuperSpiels won by Crystal Webster & Vic Peters; and this year’s 2nd annual DEKALB SuperSpiels won by Sherry Middaugh and Mike McEwen. The Canadian Mixed Championship, November 13-20, 2010, will bring together the Mixed champion teams of all ten provinces, Yukon/Territories, and Northern Ontario. Manitoba will be represented by four-time champion Terry McNamee and his Hamiota team of Lana Hunter, Allan Lawn, and Tanya Enns. Co-chairs of the event organizing committee are Resby Coutts and Brenda Recksiedler. The Executive Committee includes Del Stevenson, Penny Roney, Barb Stevenson, Curt Recksiedler, Keith Rempel, and Brian Recksiedler. It is anticipated about 125 volunteers will be involved in staging the event.
