Welcome to Moose Jaw!

Welcome to Moose Jaw!

The 2015 Scotties Tournament of Hearts is coming to Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, home to thousands of Canada’s most passionate sports fans. It marks the city’s first time hosting the Canadian women’s curling championship, but not its first experience with championship curling.

The 2012 Canada Cup was contested in Moose Jaw and the city showed the country that it has everything it takes to host an elite event. In fact, it set an all-time attendance record for the 2012 Canada Cup.

Moose Jaw provides a unique setting for the Scotties, offering a fascinating insight to early Western Canadian culture. Visitors to the southwest Saskatchewan centre have the opportunity to tour the tunnels used by bootleggers in the days of prohibition. You can visit the Moose Jaw Museum and Art Gallery, or the Western Canadian Development Museum, showcasing the evolution of transportation in the west – as well as the role of the Moose Jaw air base during the British Commonwealth’s involvement in World War II.

The city’s downtown core, undergoing a major rejuvenation in recent years, is an experience of its own – featuring a variety of boutiques, galleries and dining opportunities.
