Walk Up and Pour Yourself a Cup!
The 2011 World Financial Group Continental Cup hits the ice in St. Albert next Thursday… and starting Wednesday, January 12 at 2:30 pm, the Ticketmaster box office opens at Servus Credit Union Place to meet the demand for single draw tickets.
Walk-up and will-call tickets will be available at the box office every day during the event, January 13 – 16. Single draw seats are priced at just $30 for Thursday and Friday and $35 for Saturday and Sunday.
“The word is making its way around local curling clubs that the Continental Cup is already sold out,” said Mike Howes, Host Committee Chair. “But that is simply not the case… while sales have been outstanding, there are still lots of great seats available, ranging from full event passes to single draw tickets. It’s a great chance to see the best curlers in the world.”
The competitors include many of the athletes from the 2010 Winter Olympic Games. Team North America faces Team world in a unique challenge competition. Six teams on each side – three men’s and three women’s – will go head-to-head in Team Games, Mixed Doubles, Singles and Skins matches:

8:30 am – Women’s Team Competitions

Every same-day pass to the event includes complimentary admission to Keith’s Patch – curling’s legendary party place – featuring fine food, refreshments and live entertainment. The band lineup includes the Classics (Wednesday, Jan. 12), Hey Romeo (Thursday, Jan. 13), Karac Hendriks and the Chevelles (Friday, Jan. 14) and Tera Lee and Souled Out (Saturday, Jan. 15).
