Holland is Heading to the Canada Cup!

Amber Holland led Team Saskatchewan to an upset of three-time defending champion Jennifer Jones in the Scotties Tournament of Hearts to claim a berth in the 2011 Canada Cup, November 30 – December 4 in the Cranbrook Rec Plex.The Holland team joins 2010 Canada Cup champions Glenn Howard and Stefanie Lawton in the field for the showdown in Cranbrook.  The next team to qualify will be the winners of the 2011 Tim Hortons Brier, coming up March 5 – 13 in London.

The Canada Cup brings together an elite field of the best teams in the country – seven men’s and seven women’s – in a competition that captures the excitement of a Scotties and Brier wrapped up in one package. The winners of the 2011 Canada Cup will also be the first two teams to move on to the 2013 Tim Hortons Roar of the Rings – the Canadian Curling Trials. Full event packages are on sale now.  In addition to the “Old Classic” full event pass – for the hard-core enthusiasts who want to be there for all 13 draws – two “Double Impact” packages are available for fans to double up on the draws that work best for their own schedule.
