Amber Holland’s going to the Scotties…will Lethbridge be on the 2012 schedule?
When Amber Holland defeated three-time defending champion Jennifer Jones in the final of the 2011 Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Charlottetown, her Saskatchewan team earned the right to compete in four of the sport’s most prestigious events.
First up was the 2011 Capital One World Women’s Curling Championship where Holland -
along with teammates Kim Schneider, Tammy Schneider and Heather Kalenchuk – won the silver medal. They’ll open the upcoming Season of Champions schedule with the 2011 Canada Cup in Cranbrook. November 30 – December 4 followed by the 2012 World Financial Group Continental Cup in Langley, January 12 – 15 and then the 2012 Scotties, February 18 – 26 in Red Deer wearing Team Canada colours.
Holland will have to wait for the outcome of the Scotties to determine if she’ll be in the ENMAX Centre for the 2011 Ford World Women’s Curling Championship. You don’t have to wait!
