Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame set to open doors

The doors to Calgary’s newest attraction, Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame, open July 1, 2011 at Canada Olympic Park. They are actively recruiting volunteers and invite you and any individuals you think may be interested to contact them. They are looking for individuals who would like to:
  • Become pioneers by helping to create the identity of Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame
  • Share stories of our sports heroes with the general public (with a focus on youth) in order to educate and inspire
  • Create fun, interesting ways to emphasize the link between sport and life skills
  • Inspire youth and be the catalyst to be active and contributing members of society

Canada's Sports Hall of Fame

Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame has a need for volunteers during the day, evenings and weekends to fulfill the roles of exhibit tour guides, school program assistants and visitor services, to name a few. The ideal volunteer is an avid sports fan or history buff, enjoys interacting with visitors of all ages, and wishes to take a journey back in time to learn about Canada’s greatest sport heroes and celebrate the amazing achievements of our current generation of sport heroes.
