Martin Shooting for Canada Cup History

Alberta’s Kevin Martin stands out as one of the most accomplished curlers to ever play the game, with a resume that includes virtually every championship title in the world.

Among his achievements are Olympic gold and silver medals, 11 Brier appearances with four Tankard triumphs, Ford World Men’s Curling Championship gold and numerous wins on the World Curling Tour. Finishing on top of last season’s Canadian Team Ranking System, Martin makes his way to Cranbrook with John Morris, Marc Kennedy and Ben Hebert for the 2011 Capital One Canada Cup.  A victory this year would establish yet another new standard, making Martin the only four-time champion in event history. The two Canada Cup champions also earn the first berths in the 2013 Tim Hortons Roar of the Rings… the first step in Team Martin’s quest for consecutive Olympic gold medals. “You Gotta Be There” November 30 – December 4 at the Cranbrook Rec Plex to see the marquee field featuring the finest men’s and women’s teams in the country.
