The Scotties Tournament of Hearts is coming back to Red Deer February 18– 26, 2012 and the entire community has embraced the return of the national women’s curling championship.

Volunteers were lining up to get involved in the event the day it was announced that Red Deer would host another Scotties… with the prospect of breaking the all-time attendance record.

2012 Scotties Tournament of Hearts volunteers were out in full force this summer for the Westerner Days parade.

The city still sits in the number two spot behind Regina, but the groundswell of support from throughout the region suggests there could be a new record in the making!
