The popular Norwegian skip was one of the main players in the drama of the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics, earning the silver medal for his country in the emotionally charged final with Canada’s Kevin Martin. After several years of competing in the shadows of 2002 Olympic gold medal winner Pål Trulsen, Ulsrud has emerged to dominate the Norwegian curling scene. His first Continental Cup experience came in 2008 and he returned to the world side for the 2011 edition. Holder of the 2010 European Curling Championship title, Ulsrud also has a pair of silver and bronze medals in the course of eight appearances.  He has represented Norway at the Ford Men’s World Curling Championship on seven occasions resulting in three bronze medals.  He was unable to compete in the 2010 world championship when his team went on to win silver. Ulsrud will be joined by Torger Nergård, Christoffer Svae and Håvard Vad Petersson January 12 – 15 in the Langley Events Centre to take on Team World in this unique international competition. “You Gotta Be There” to help re-ignite the spirit of 2011!  Reserve your seats now by clicking here.
