Brier Bear’s Making the Rounds in Saskatoon

A sure sign of an upcoming national men’s curling championship is sightings of a big loveable bear roaming around your hometown.

That was clearly the case last weekend when Brier Bear was in Saskatoon to help spread good will for the 2012 Tim Hortons Brier. The visit started Friday, November 25th when the longtime curling mascot spent time with residents at Sherbrooke Community Centre, moving on to play Rocks ‘n Rings with students at Father Robinson School and then drop by to meet curlers at the Granite, Sutherland and CN curling clubs. He was back on the beat Saturday to welcome Santa and his reindeers to the Market Mall and join Brier volunteers in the promotion of the Rocks in Your Socks ticket offer – featuring a pair of tickets to one of the first 17 draws for just $39. When the main event gets underway, March 3 – 11 in Credit Union Centre you can be sure he’ll be there for a 31st consecutive Brier – and his fourth one in Saskatoon. “You Gotta Be There” to join Brier Bear for all the excitement of the Tim Hortons Brier.  Just click here to get your tickets now.
