Abbotsford Shooters Qualify for Cool Shots Club Finals

The Cool Shots Club Competition continues in the Lower Mainland with the Abbotsford Curling Club determining four teams that will compete in the Patch, Sunday, January 15th during the 2012 World Financial Group Continental Cup of Curling.

Twenty-four teams showed up in Abbotsford to compete for the cash and the chance to advance to the finals.  Daryl and Linda Kirton took home first prize of $250, second went to Dennis Palmer and Colleen Mummery with a $125 payout, and the third and fourth place teams of Jim Hart and Brian La Sage and Art and Judy Heppner earned $60. They’ll join representatives previously qualified from the Langley Curling Club competition with another four to be determined in play at both the Royal City and Richmond clubs. When the finalists face off on championship Sunday at the Continental Cup there’s more cash on the line – $150 for semi-finalists, $400 for second and $800 for the champions – plus $5,000 for the winning team’s home club. “You Gotta Be There” for the 2012 World Financial Group Continental Cup of Curling, January 12 – 15 in the Langley Events Centre.  Great seats are still available – just click here to get yours now.
