The countdown to the 2012 Tim Hortons Brier, presented by Monsanto, has officially begun, as two of the 12 men’s provincial/territorial championships are underway in Quebec and Prince Edward Island.
By February 12, all the teams, representing the 10 provinces plus Northern Ontario and Northwest Territories/Yukon, for the 83rd edition of the Canadian Men’s Curling Championship, March 3-11 at the Credit Union Centre in Saskatoon, will be determined.
This marks the eighth year of Brier title sponsorship by Tim Hortons. It’s also the sixth time that Saskatoon has hosted the Brier, the latest in 2004, when won by Nova Scotia’s Mark Dacey.
The Canadian Curling Association website will provide brief summaries of each championship as the winners are declared. Provincial curling association/federation websites offer links to draw results and other event information.
