Be Part of History in the Making for the Kingston Scotties

The 2013 Scotties Tournament of Hearts will be contested for the first time in Kingston, February 16-24 at the K-Rock Centre. And, the Host Committee is putting out the call for volunteers to make sure the city shines bright in hosting the Canadian Women’s Curling Championship. “It takes a lot of hard work to stage an event of this magnitude,” noted Ken Thompson, Chair of the Host Committee.  “But, based on the strong sense of local pride we’ve seen in the past, we’re confident the community will step forward and make sure 2013 is a Scotties to remember.” Approximately 400 volunteers will be required to fill a wide range of positions in the months leading up to the event, as well as during the week of the championship itself.  People are needed to serve in such roles as transportation, security, and hospitality in the HeartStop – curling’s legendary party place. Those interested in volunteering can register online at: Volunteer “You Gotta Be There” when the 2013 Scotties comes to historic Kingston, Ontario.  Full Event passes are available now by clicking here.
