The Brier Rocks… and That’s Great for the Socks!

The 2013 Tim Hortons Brier – the Canadian Men’s Curling Championship – will be on the ice in Edmonton’s Rexall Place, March 2-10 and the Host Committee has announced that single draw tickets for the first 14 draws go on sale November 24. Priced from just $22, tickets to the Brier are a great way to put rocks in the socks of family and friends during the holiday season. “Single draw tickets are being released just in time for anyone looking for the perfect gift for the curling fans on their shopping list,” commented Host Chair Mark Johnson.  “It’s also a great idea for those who’ve only seen the game on television… when they have the chance to experience live championship curling in Rexall Place they’ll be blown away!” Team Alberta will play nine times over the course of the first 14 draws from Saturday through Thursday, including a Saturday evening matchup against Manitoba. Every ticket also includes complimentary admission to The Original 16 Patch – curling’s legendary party place featuring a great selection of live bands, food and beverages. Plus, fans have the opportunity to meet the competitors in person at Team Autograph sessions and the informal Up Close and Personal interviews.  And, they can play for a championship of their own in the Cool Shots competition – the small-scale version of the roaring game. So pick your favourite teams and stock up for the draws when they’re on the ice! “You Gotta Be There” for the 2013 Tim Hortons Brier.
