The Gift of Curling Lights up Holiday Shopping

Volunteers for the 2013 Scotties Tournament of Hearts were on hand for the Black Friday promotion November 23 in downtown Kingston to pass on some unique gift ideas to holiday shoppers. The Scotties crew set up the event booth on Princess Street, in the heart of the city’s downtown retail district, where local merchants welcomed a large crowd of customers in search of early season bargains. The volunteers were out to promote Rocks in Your Socks – single tickets for the first 14 draws – and First Rocks and Last Rocks Mini Packs as ideal gifts for the holidays. The promotion continues November 28 for the Cesar Millan seminar at the K-Rock Centre featuring the popular host of the Dog Whisperer television series.  And, they’ll return December 6 when everyone’s in the festive spirit for the Martina McBride “Joy of Christmas” concert. The Scotties will have its own lineup of top-ranked entertainment performing for the party in The HeartStop throughout the week of the Canadian Women’s Curling Championship.  An announcement will be released on this site Wednesday, December 5 with a direct link to all the details on the Activities and Entertainment page. “You Gotta Be There” when Canada’s best women’s curlers come to Kingston for the 2013 Scotties Tournament of Hearts, February 16-24 in the K-Rock Centre.  Pick up your tickets today by clicking here.
