James Grattan, of the Gage Golf and Curling Club, faced fellow club member Zach Eldridge in the first and last games of the provincial championship. Eldridge came out on top in the opening match of round-robin play. But, when the two teams met again in the Sunday final, it was a different story. Grattan scored two in the 10th end for a 7-6 victory and a 10th trip to the Canadian Men’s Curling Championship. The New Brunswick veteran heads to Edmonton, March 2-10 for the 2013 Tim Hortons Brier with teammates Jason Roach, Darren Roach and Peter Case. It will be the first Brier for the Roach brothers, who represented the province at the 2005 Canadian Junior Men’s Curling Championship, and the fifth for lead Peter Case. “You Gotta Be There” for all the excitement when the Brier returns to Edmonton’s Rexall Place.
