In just one month, the top teams in international curling will gather in Victoria for the 2013 Ford World Men’s Curling Championship, presented by Booster Juice, March 30-April 7 in the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre. Right next door, in the Victoria Curling Centre, the party of a lifetime will be heating up in The Original 16 Patch. It kicks off Friday, March 29 with Fan Appreciation Night – an exclusive event for full event pass holders where fans have the opportunity to meet all the athletes. Entertainment for the evening features the Timebenders, Victoria’s favourite party band. The Patch will be rocking all week long with a lineup of the west coast’s top musical talents, and an appetizing array of food and beverages. It’s also home to Up Close and Personal interviews where everyone has the chance to take part in a candid conversation with the competitors. Plus, fans can get involved in a championship of their own. The Cool Shots competition will be underway every day in The Original 16 Patch.
