Don MacLeod, a former Canadian Curling Association (CCA) president and a member of the Canadian Curling Hall of Fame, has passed away at the age of 80 after a brief illness.
MacLeod served as CCA president in 1990, and also spent six years on the CCA board. He was a major curling backer in Thunder Bay, Ont., spending time as president and secretary-treasurer of the Northwestern Ontario Curling Association, which later combined with other regional bodies to form the existing Northern Ontario Curling Association.
