Liu earned his latest spot in the world showdown with a victory over Japan’s Yusuke Morozumi in the gold-medal game of the 2012 Pacific-Asia Curling Championships in Naseby, New Zealand. After throwing third stones for Fengchun Wang in 2008 and 2009, he moved up to skip the Chinese team in three of the last four world championships. As vice-skip for Wang, Liu was also part of the Team World victory in the 2008 Continental Cup of Curling, the first time competitors from the Pacific-Asia region were included in the international classic. Along with teammates Xiaoming Xu, Dexin Ba and Jialiang Zang, Liu currently sits in 27th spot on the World Curling Tour’s Order of Merit.  “You Gotta Be There” for all the excitement when the Ford World Men’s Curling Championship returns to Victoria.
