Deja Vu – Alberta in Semi Final: Tiebreaker for Third Place at Senior Men.

Alberta’s Wade White avoided tiebreakers earning his way into Saturday night’s semi final with a 9-6 win over a stubborn Northern Ontario team skipped by Bruce Munro at the 2013 Canadian Senior Men’s Curling Championship at the Silver Fox Curling & Yacht Club in Summerside, PEI.

White will meet the winner of a Saturday tiebreaker game between Ontario’s Howard Rajala and the host province’s Rod MacDonald. The PEI squad could have advanced directly to the semi final but those plans were derailed by NL’s Glenn Goss by a score of 7-6 dropping MacDonald to 7-4 and into the tiebreaker with Rajala who had already won his game 10-2 over Quebec’s Robbie Maclean,

The tiebreaker game is set for 8:00am EST with the winner meeting Alberta Saturday night at 6:00pm EST.

The winner of the semi final will meet the winner of the round robin, Wayne Tallon of New Brunswick who finished the week a stellar 10-1.

The championship finals for both genders scheduled for Sunday, March 24 at 10:00 am EST. The winners will represent Canada at the 2014 World Seniors at a location yet to be announced.
