Whitehorse misses out on hosting the 2013 Kraft Celebration Tour

Tuesday, 9 July 2013 - Posted by Jean Mills

They tried hard, but the Yukon Curling Association came up just short in its bid to join the 2013 Kraft Celebration Tour.

The YCA, representing the Yukon and Northwestern B.C. curling communities of Dawson City, Mayo, Watson Lake, Teslin, Atlin B.C. and Whitehorse, lost its match-up with the Fort Smith Centennial Arena.

The YCA was hoping to receive a $25,000 grant, as well as play host to a live TSN SportsCentre broadcast later this summer.

You can read the YCA’s application on the 2013 Kraft Celebration Tour site, here.
