New CCA-branded game brings curling to the table
Just in time for Christmas, a new game will give curlers and curling fans alike a way to embrace their favourite sport in a unique setting.
Compact Curling, which is being distributed by Borgfeldt (Canada) Ltd — a company that for more than 100 years has offered the best in toys, collectibles and hobby products to Canadians — is now available for sale at a suggested retail price of $19.99.The table-top game, which was created in partnership with the Canadian Curling Association (CCA), is a miniature version of the game that is beloved by players and fans across the country.
“We know curling fans are going to embrace this new game, and we’re happy to be associated with Compact Curling,” said CCA Chief Executive Officer Greg Stremlaw. “We’re always looking for new and creative ways to raise awareness of curling, and this game is a terrific opportunity to do just that.”
“The passion of Canadian curlers, whether on the ice surface or on a table top, is quite evident in the incredible demand for our new Compact Curling game,” said Merle Tubman, Vice-President of Sales & Marketing for Borgfeldt (Canada) Ltd.
“Compact Curling enables children to experience the exciting game of curling without the ice,” added Cheryl Flood, the owner of Hobby and Toy Central. “Players use real-game tactics, such as guards, takeouts, and blank ends. My staff say this game rocks!”
