For the third time in five years, the Canadian men’s curling championship will feature two skips wearing Koe on the back of their jerseys.
Jamie Koe earned the right to represent the Northwest Territories/Yukon at the national championship for an eighth time, including the past six consecutive years, with a victory, Feb. 9, in the Territorial playdowns.
He will compete March 1-9 in Kamloops at the 2014 Tim Hortons Brier, presented by SecurTek, along with brother Kevin, who will be in the Interior Savings Centre wearing Team Alberta colours.
In 2012, the Koes met in the 3 vs. 4 Page playoff, with Kevin coming out of top. Jamie’s team later lost to Manitoba’s Rob Fowler in the bronze-medal match.
The Northwest Territories/Yukon team in Kamloops will include third Kevin Whitehead, second Brad Chorostkowski and lead Robert Borden.
