Feltscher back at Ford World Women’s

Binia Feltscher has competed for Switzerland in some of international curling’s most important events. Now, she has another opportunity to represent her country, skipping the Swiss team at the 2014 Ford World Women’s Curling Championship, presented by Booster Juice, March 15-23 in Saint John. Feltscher played third for the Mirjam Ott team at the 2005 world championship in Paisley, Scotland, where they failed to make the playoffs. The following year she came within a shot of winning the gold medal at the 2006 Olympic Games in Torino, Italy. With Feltscher again throwing third stones on the Ott foursome, the Swiss shooters took Sweden’s Anette Norberg to an extra-end in the championship final. Norberg was forced to make a final-rock double to seal the victory. The skip from the Flims Curling Club also headed up the Swiss team at the 2010 Ford World Women’s Curling Championship. Team Switzerland will be rounded out by Irene Schori, Franziska Kaufmann and Christine Urech for the Ford World Women’s in Saint John’s Harbour Station. “You Gotta Be There” for all the excitement of live championship curling.
