2013 Canadian Mixed Award Winners

Here are the recipients of the All Star Awards at the 2013 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship held at the TMR Curling Club in the Town of Mount Royal, Quebec.

 
Heggestad – Canadian Mixed Curling Champion!

Ontario’s Cory Heggestad, representing the Orillia Curling Club, won the 50th edition of the Canadian Mixed Curling Championship dominating Nova Scotia’s Brent MacDougall 10-3 in today’s final at the TMR Curling Club in Montreal.

 
It’s Nova Scotia Against Ontario For The Mixed Title!

Tonight’s semi final was action-packed with terrific shots and unusual scenarios but, much to the disappointment of the pro-Quebec crowd, Ontario’s Cory Heggestad edged Montreal’s Mike Fournier 9-8 in an extra end.

 

The last draw of the round robin portion of the 2013 Canadian Mixed concluded this morning with little at stake except final ranking for each province and territory.

 
Nova Scotia Earns Bye To the Final

In dramatic fashion, Brent MacDougall’s foursome representing the CFB Halifax CC, has advanced to Saturday’s final at the 2013 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship at the TMR Curling Club in the Town of Mount Royal.

Tension and drama filled the rink this afternoon at the 2013 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship at the TMR Curling Club in the Town of Mount Royal.

 
Threes Are Wild For Ontario

Ontario’s Cory Heggestad scored three points in three ends: the 2nd, 6th and 8th in defeating Alberta’s Kurt Balderston 9-8 in draw 14 at the 2013 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship at the TMR Curling Club in Town of Mount Royal, QC.

 
Two Tied For 1st at Mixed – Ontario One Game Back

Ontario’s Cory Heggestad is now alone in third place while Quebec and Nova Scotia, both idle, lead the field at 7-2 after Wednesday night’s thirteenth draw at the 2013 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship at the TMR Curling Club in the Town of Mount Royal, QC.

 
Good day for Nova Scotia at the Mixed

Brent MacDougall did what he had to do today to keep first place and an eye on the bye to Saturday’s championship final with solid wins over contenders Quebec & Ontario at the 2013 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship at the TMR Curling Club in the Town of Mount Royal, Qc.

 
Nova Scotia & Quebec – Tied at 6-2

Nova Scotia’s Brent MacDougall moved into a tie with the host province’s Mike Fournier in a well played 8-7 thriller in draw 11 at the 2013 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship at the TMR Curling Club in the Town of Mount Royal, Quebec.

Quebec 6-0, Ontario 5-1 at Mixed

With undefeated Quebec enjoying an afternoon bye, several pursuers were given an opportunity to close the gap in Draw 9 action at the Canadian Mixed Curling Championship. And they did just that Tuesday afternoon at the Town of Mount Royal Curling Club.

 
Ontario Gaining Momentum

Ontario’s Cory Heggestad continues his strong play at the 2013 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship at the TMR Curling Club in the Town of Mount Royal, QC.

 
La Belle Province 5-0!

Mike Fournier and Team Québec continued their strong play at the 2013 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship at the TMR Curling Club. In a highly entertaining game in front of a full house of pro-Québec fans, Fournier edged eight time Brier participant James Grattan of NB, 6-5.

 
Quebec Determined to Stay in the Lead

Mike Fournier’s hometown favourite Team Québec is showing no signs of relinquishing first place at the 2013 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship being held at the TMR Curling Club in the Town of Mount Royal (part of greater Montréal).
