The battle at the Bally Haly Golf and Curling Club in St. John’s came to a close January 20 when Newfoundland/Labrador declared its representatives for the 2013 Scotties Tournament of Hearts – the Canadian Women’s Curling Championship – February 16-24 in Kingston.
The second team to lock down a spot in the 2013 Scotties Tournament of Hearts was determined January 13 at the Fort Smith Curling Club in the Northwest Territories when Kerry Galusha played her way to another shot at the Canadian Women’s Curling Championship.
Team Ontario will have a short trip to the Canadian Women’s Curling Championship this year with Kingston playing host to the 2013 Scotties Tournament of Hearts, February 16-24 in the K-Rock Centre.
The quest for the Canadian Women’s Curling Championship begins this week in the Atlantic provinces with the Newfoundland/Labrador playdowns taking place January 15-20 at the Bally Haly Golf and Curling Club in St. John’s, Newfoundland.
