After a big 10-4 win this morning over Sherry Middaugh, Stefanie Lawton notched another one against 2012 Scotties Tournament of Hearts winner Heather Nedohin. Tied 1-1 after four ends, Lawton applied the pressure in five. Nedohin came up short on her draw on the last rock of the end, and Lawton scored 4 to take a 5-1 lead into the break – and give the hometown Saskatchewan fans something to cheer about.
In a star-studded field that will take to the ice in Moose Jaw’s Mosaic Place November 28-December 2 for the 2012 Capital One Canada Cup of Curling, only two skips share the Olympic gold medal experience.
The Capital One Canada Cup of Curling makes its first trip to Moose Jaw November 28-December 2 and one of the primary reasons the city is hosting the elite event is Mosaic Place.
The first Volunteer Rally for the 2012 Capital One Canada Cup, heading to Moose Jaw’s Mosaic Place, took place Monday, November 28 with a crowd of 168 excited supporters coming out to the Moose Jaw Ford Curling facility.
