CCA announces 2013 recipients of Curling Assistance Program

Twenty-four curling clubs across the country will benefit from funding from the Canadian Curling Association’s Curling Assistance Program (CAP), it was announced today.

Scott, Lamoureux named to WCF commissions

Two-time Scotties Tournament of Hearts champion Kelly Scott has been selected by the World Curling Federation (WCF) to be part of the inaugural WCF Athlete Commission, while Canadian Curling Association Director, Championship Services & Curling Club Development Danny Lamoureux has been selected to the first WCF Competitions and Rules Commission, where he’ll join former Canadian Curling Association governor Graham Prouse.

 
Curling wraps up 2012-13 season with big audiences on TSN

With the final audience data of the season now in, the numbers show that curling is one of the most-watched sports properties on Canadian television. Overall, more than 13.7 million Canadians, or close to half the population, have tuned in to watch some of TSN’s extensive curling coverage this season.

 
CCA, WCF extend partnership
 on world championships through 2018

OTTAWA — The Canadian Curling Association (CCA) and World Curling Federation (WCF) have come to an agreement to extend their partnership on hosting world championships through the 2017-18 curling season, it was announced today.
